Is it a law that if your doctor doesn't wanna see you for some reason, that you should get one more refill on your painkillers?

It is not law: The Interagency Guideline on Prescribing Opioids for Pain in WA State recommends Immediate discontinuation if there is diversion or non-medical use. As a Pain Physician who also has certification in Addiction Medicine, I would offer the patient chemical dependency treatment and assist in getting the patient the resources that are required.
