Is a 6 cell embryo on day 3 an option to make it to a viable blastocyst for ivf transfer on day 5? i know ideally it should be an 8 cell on day 3.

Would be concerned a: bout how it got to be 6 celled. The fertilized egg should split into two and each of the cells then consequently double so should be 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc. 6 is not part of that so was there some sort of problem during 4-to-8 split such that half the slcells didn't split?
