Decisions: 18 is a challenging age. Your son can consent for treatment as he is of age. Important to clarify whether or not he is still taking his meds as many teens stop when they are of consenting age. Cognitive behavioral therapy is also an effective form of treatment for OCD either alone or in conjunction with meds. Follow up with psychiatrist for any changes in medication, additional therapies.
