Why do i have a fever 3 days after root canal while on clindamycin by the dentist there is also some swelling? what can it be? no other symptoms.

It may: Be a coincidence. If you have increased swelling, pain or signs of infection, see your dentist. Otherwise it is likely a viral cold unrelated to your dental treatment. It should be better in 10 days to two weeks. If on the other hand you start feeling worse, see your physician.
