Gastroenterologist: If you haven't been evaluated by a gastroenterologist by now, consult one for diagnosis and treatment. Possibilities include inflammatory bowel disease like Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Chronic appendicitis is less likely. Appropriate tests will be ordered by the gastroenterologist.
