Antihistamines: Yes, antihistamines like claritin can help with allergy symptoms like sneezing, itching, watery nose and watery eyes. However, intranasal steroid sprays are better for complaint of nasal congestion. These are now available over the counter (Flonase, Rhinocort, Nasocort, etc). Using them consistently is important. They will not relieve congestion if only used intermittently.
