Late menses: If your menstrual cycles are usually quite regular a missed period this late raises the possibility of pregnancy and a home pregnancy test can be done at this time. However if there is no chance that you could be pregnant, period irregularity doesn't necessarily mean pathology. Observation for another two weeks is not unreasonable. If no menstruation by then, consult a gynecologist for evaluation.
