Hormonal issues: Iron deficiency is not unusual in young women especially if they have heavy periods. Iron rich foods (leafy green veggies) and iron supplements can help. If sexually active get apregnancy test. Your weight and irregular periods could point to thyroid problems or polycystic ovaries. Testing hormone levels including testosterone and fasting Insulin may help sort things out. Weight loss may also help.
