Benign need Photo: Hi YRuiz, Neck and shoulder pain are probably not related to your new finding in the trap muscle. It might be helpful to have someone take a picture of the lump. Furnucle, lipoma are two benign conditions that might be there. Over the counter med like naprosyn or ibuprofen with food may help the overall neck and shoulder pain.
