Overkill: Plan B will not make BC less effective but may alter menstrual cycle. It is overkill to take Plan B and BC pills together. BC pills are 99% effective in preventing pregnancy so not to worry about pregnancy if condom breaks in future. The only concern with a condom break is the possible transmission of a STD between partners.

Plan B use: will not cause oral contraceptives to be less effective. However, if you use your oral contraceptives consistently and correctly - then Plan B is not needed.
