I have hashimoto's thyroiditis and pcos. i'm learning new things almost everyday. my main question is, can a miscarrage kick-start both of these?

No: Pcos is very common, affecting 5-10% of women. Thyroid problems are also common, and are more common in women than in men. A miscarriage would not cause either of these conditions. Two or more miscarriages is a reason to get checked out for causes of miscarriage, though. Best wishes.
