On fungus skin infection with swelling if we use steroid cream, what will be result it increase infection with 1)more swelling or 2)decrease swelling?

Double-edged Sword: Initially steroid cream can reduce inflammation and swelling from a cutaneous fungal infection. However, with persistent use, steroids can reduce your body's immune system leading to worsening of fungal infection. Prolonged steroid cream use can also cause atrophy and discoloration of skin.
