Conclusive for HSV2: Testing 3 months or more after the last exposure is conclusive for HSV type 2 (HSV2), so no worries there. The standard blood tests miss up to 30% of HSV1 infections, which cause up to half of all new cases of genital herpes. However, if you have had no symptoms, plus the negative test, you can be confident you didn't acquire either virus.
