Perhaps: Cresol can cause burning of the mouth. It can cause other side effects inside your body, it just depends on how much you ingested. Fortunately when ingested it takes a higher concentration (that if inhaled) to cause damage. I recommend finding a toxicologist to get a clearer idea.
