Gallstone diet: Volume of food not as important as type of food. Foods to avoid with gallstones: high fat food including fried foods , foods made with lard or butter. Foods okay with gallstones: fresh fruits, berries, and vegetables,low-fat or fat-free salad dressings egg whites, lean cuts of meat,skinless poultry, fish and shellfish and fat-free baked goods.
