Indefinite-varies: Breast feeding will inhubit periods- they will return as feeding diminishes. No therapy needed.

Up to 6 months: If you are breastfeeding exclusively, then your period may not return for up to 6 months. This is different for everyone, however, and it could return as early as 4 weeks after delivery. If you would like to have a period (which is not medically necessary), then you could consider taking a birth control pill which would allow you a week of withdrawal bleeding/period.
