No: Activated charcoal has it's place in the very limited management of certain overdoses in the Emergency Department. Charcoal: In some cases, activated charcoal can help in controlling excessive abdominal gas. However, while there is no direct evidence that long-term use of charcoal is harmful, there is not any research to suggest it should be used as a long-term supplement indefinitely. There certainly would be concern that it could impair absorption of medications or supplements. Use it with caution. Good luck.
