Tonsillar crypts: You may have tonsillar crypts or shallow pouches in the structure of your tonsils that can trap food and other debris leading to bacterial overgrowth. I'd recommend gargling with salt water several times daily and drinking plenty of water with meals and throughout the day. If you notice any fever, redness or other symptoms, I'd suggest visiting your PCP or ENT for evaluation.
