Can a medal plate make me really sick? i have not been well since the surgery.

Not likely: In general, most metals used in surgery do not make you sick. It would be a good idea to follow-up with your surgeon to make sure there's not a complication from that operation.

No: The metal used in plates/screws/rods used in Orthopedic surgery are always non-absorbable and are not toxic. You have to look elsewhere for your illness. Hope this helps Dr Z
