Explanation : This is significant difference. Patchy consolidating typical for pneumonia and show lung disease. Venous congestion can related to heart problem or pulmonary hypertension, what is not the Lung problems but itself. Your doctor may tell you, why you have this.

Infection/congestion: No it is not the same.Patchy consolidation is seen in an infectious process like Pneumonia or Pnumonitis.Venous congestion on the other hand is related to congestion caused by excessive fluid in the lungs and is not caused by disease or infection of the lungs but may be due to congestive heart failure or some other causes. It is usually reported as Pulmonary Congestion rather than venous Congestion
