Potentially worse: A femoral Cam lesion is a bony adaptation due to abnormal mechanical forcesat the edge of the joint surface of the femoral head cartilage that will likely get worse with time if untreated. Internal hip joint pathology such as a labral tear or cartilage injury to the acetabulum is commonly associated with a bony Cam (femoral) or Pincer (acetabular) lesion.
