My head is tender and when i comb my hair a nice amount comes out. what is the cause of this? what can i do to stop it?

See doctor: Hair loss accompanied by tenderness is a sign of inflammation or infection. At that location. It needs to be examined and possibly biopsied to determine cause and proper treatment. Over the counter meds are too weak to work.
