Traction Alopecia: The answer is Yes! By wearing the same style, especially if you pull the hair too tightly you can get bumps. These bumps represent hair actually being pulled from the hair follicle. If done for long periods of time you will actually loose the hair in the weakest areas, usually around the hair line. This is known as traction alopecia.
