A member asked:

How can non classical cah be detected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Non classical CAH: Non classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia is diagnosed via a single blood test, drawn in the morning and looking at adrenal steroid levels (17-hydroxyprogesterone, androstenedione and testosterone). This may be sufficient to make the diagnosis of CAH. An ACTH stimulation test is done to confirm the diagnosis. Needs follow up with an endocrinologist.
