It depends on how : Long you bleed. The follicular cycle begins with the first day of your cycle and ends the day before you have an LH surge. Normally 14 days after you start bleeding. Brown discharge can be blood clots that don't slough off until after you have stopped bleeding. It is important to know why you are counting your cycle days. A test for the LH surge is more accurate.
