Is there a cure for ocd? mine is getting worse. it's now come down to distress in touching public door handles, gas hose at pumps- all public accesses

Meds plus psychoRx: Alas no cure for most people with ocd but many good treatments: medications (ssris, snris, anafranil) & cognitive behavioral psychotherapy from an experienced clinician. If I use natural approaches (crave control, nac, herbals) i usually test urinary neurotransmitters and salivary adrenal and sex hormones. The usual lifestyle tips apply: sleep, diet, activity, relaxation, etc. Good luck, dr. D.

GET THEE E.R.P. !: There is effective behavioral treatment for ocd. It's possible to gain control of ocd & learn to stop it from running your life! the "gold standard" treatment is behavioral: it's called exposure & response prevention. Find an ocd expert to help. See resources on the international ocd foundation website: www.Ocfoundation.Org. Meds can be big help too.
