CBT: Seek out a therapist who can teach you cognitive behavioral therapy to work on your anxiety. Alternatively medication like Paxil (paroxetine) or Prozac can be helpful if tolerated.

Try another: Therapist or a different therapeutic orientation. There are many different kinds of talk therapy. You may have tried one that is not suited to you. Don't give up on therapy. Learn stress management techniques from a therapist or hypnotherapist.

Buspirone been tried: If Buspirone has not been tried, it should be the first line for gad. If that fails. Then an antidepressant that helps gad, eg lexapro, (escitalopram) is a reasonable option. Prozac is also reasonable but should be started at "cranzac" doses of about 5 mg a day and raised as tolerated. You should not have to live with gad untilb your therapy works. Meds ands therapy are usually the best option.
