A member asked:

My bilirubin levels have gone from 1.6 to 2.4 to now 3.4 in three days. i have had ultrasound and ct scan and all are normal. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info: Why were these tests done? Do you have any symptoms? Did you take Hepatitis B vaccine? Many viral infections can cause a transient hepatitis but that also causes other lab tests to be abnormal. Bilirubin alone does not provide sufficient info for a meaningful opinion. The doctor who ordered the tests would be in the best position to advise.
