Tympanomastoiditis: These are the findings of a CT scan of the mastoid bone. The radiologist is detecting inflammation in the mastoid and the middle ear. Inflammation means there is swelling of the mucous membrane of the mastoid bone and middle ear. The epitympanum, mesotympanum, and hypotympanum correspond to the upper, middle, and lower regions of the middle ear. You need to see an ENT doctor and may need surgery.
