More details: It's not clear where the surgery was performed, but if in the lumbar spine area there may be a relationship, although an understanding of what transpired leading up to the discectomy would be helpful. Please see your doctor to help localize the problem more carefully and determine if additional imaging studies should be done to evaluate the symptoms.
