I tried to scratch my itching inner ear with my thumb, then pinky. i scratched in as far as i could for relief, then felt pain. can this harm my ear?

Otitis externa: scratching your external ear canal with your fingers may cause an infection. Placing vinegard and diluted peroxide with a bulb syringe may help you to relieve your symptoms. May need a Dr if symptoms do not improve
