Mucus and pus: Mucus and pus in the stool is non specific. Did the doctor also order stool culture and stool for ova and parasites? Is your child having diarrhea and/or abdominal pain? Is the doctor concerned about malabsorption, such as lactose intolerance or celiac disease. Does your child have anal fissures? If there are other tests please resubmit question.
