Watchful waiting: Ileus resolves when it resolves. Nothing you can do to speed it along though you can help to limit prolongation. Wean narcotics Watch for fevers or other signs of complication. Ngt if vomiting or very distended. If not resolving by 7-10 days may scan to r/o obstruction or abscess. Etc
