? vocal cord dysfcn?: There is a condition called vocal cord dysfunction that can mimic an asthma attack.This patient will have episodes when their vocal cords tighten over the airway when they should be open, restricting air flow & yielding a perception of an attack.It can be verified by an ENT and is treated quite differently than asthma.
