Could be many things: It could be a traumatic papilloma. Non cancerous. It could be a mucocele which is a clear build up of saliva from a damaged salivary duct. This can have a white surface if you accidently bite it. If it does not go away in a few weeks have it looked at by your doctor and have your teeth examined at the same time.

Don't know: It could be a canker sore or some other other benign problem. It should go away in a few days to a week if it doesn't see your dentist.

Recommend consult: To speed healing need to make sure wound is as optimal as possible (i.e. no stitching) and no sign of infection (particularly if hurting badly). Recommend consult with a doctor licensed in your area to sort this out. If there is no intervention they can do they will be able to advise on pain management options.

Visual DX: Hi, it’s hard to say without a picture but there is a great app that may be able to help you get a diagnosis without being seen in person by a dermatologist. The app is called VisualDX and is one of the best, if not the best out there. Many clinicians, including myself, use it. Just snap a photo and it gives you a list of possible diagnoses. Good luck!
