Hernia?: If you were straining hard to poop or pass your bowel movement it is possible that you had an asymptomatic hernia which has become problematic. When did this happen? Is there swelling in your scrotum or testicles? Cannot be sure without an examination, just thinking of what could cause new symptoms like you're experiencing. Could be something else.
