Symptoms: The treatment for pre-eclampsia is delivery. While that is the treatment, return to normal is never immediate. You may also be someone that has an underlying propensity for the development of hypertension. Pregnancy unmasks underlying conditions that would develop later in life. Be thankful that you and your child are fine. you may end up on long term antihypertensive meds.
