Hi. i went to a dermatology office and a pa did a biopsy on a mole which came back as precancerous. what does this mean?

Ask the PA: "Precancerous" is not a medical term. Perhaps an actinic keratosis. Perhaps a dysplastic nevus with severe atypia. You might need to spend time with the dermatologist.

Hello, I recently had a mole on my back removed by a dermatologist and biopsied. Post biopsy they cut in and remove it all but didn't explain the paperwork to me. I read it today and saw it says p16 positive. What does this mean? Is this HPV related?
