Constipation: If you had profuse bowel movements after taking that laxative, it would not be unusual to miss having bowel movements for a few days while intestinal contents reaccumulate and pass through the intestinal tract. See your physician if you're experiencing abdominal cramps, abdominal distension or continued absence of bowel movements.
