I was wondering if otitis intera can begin to grow into externa, and how long it can go on while being un/mis-diagnosed?

Possible: Any infection can spread. However, I don't see how you got diagnosed with otitis interna. In fact, I've never heard of it. I've heard of otitis MEDIA, but it rarely causes otitis externa. I've never seen that, anyway. The two can occur concurrently, but they are treated differently.
