Probably: If the stone goes down the ureter you might get pain over the back (or flank) and down the groin. If you are known to have stones in the kidneys, it might stay for years there without causing trouble But it might get painful if it gets infected

Yes: It is very common to have referred pain to the back with kidney stone pain, it can be intermittent with episodes of intense flaring up.
