Menstrual changes?: An early menstrual period may be caused by changes in hormone levels, which can be due to anxiety, stress, overworking, intense exercise, fatigue, or excessive weight gain/loss. If pregnancy happens, implantation bleeding occurring 9-14 days after conception is normal and relatively common, and can occasionally mimic an early period. A doctor can check, if symptoms are worrisome or recur.
