A member asked:

I have bit my lip & its been a month i saw doctor and prescribed me clobetasol but gets better and swollen again. can it be because i smoke sometimes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Smoking irritates tissues and can hinder healing, let alone all the other damage it does to your body. Lack of response to cortisone indicates more severe damage than just a simple bite. Please be evaluated by a Dentist or preferably a specialist Oral Surgeon for appropriate treatment.
