Low grade fever 99-100.3. went in high powered sunbed for 8 min 1st time (3 recommended) that night low grade fever. skin red& hurts next day. this is the 2/3rd day with fever. resting and taking liquids. why fever? sign of hot body or infection?

If you have no other: symptoms that would suggest an infection, then it's possible that your fever is from sunburn. If you can take aspirin or similar medications (such as ibuprofen), it may help with both the fever and pain. OTC steroid creams may also help. Keep in mind that excessive or prolonged exposure to UV light can also contribute to aging of the skin, skin cancer and other skin-related problems.
