Whenever pain: associated with menstruation is reported we think of tissues that might be sensitive to reproductive hormonal changes ... such as uterine or endometrial tissue. My first thought might be endometriosis from endometrial tissue lying in the left lower quadrant of the pelvis. Of course other things are possible...making an appointment with your Primary Care Provider or Gynecologist would be best:)

GYN Big three: The GYN big three causes of left lower quadrant pain are Endometriosis, Ovarian cyst/tumors and Uterine enlargement. I also did not include intestinal issues. All of these possibilities require a MD examination and detailed history.
