A member asked:

I have just recently had a baby, there was hard stuff attached to my nipples throughout pregnancy and my baby is now 10 weeks old but it's still there?

Colostrum: It is a excretion of the breast tissue in response to the pregnancy hormones preparing you to breast feed. Once the excretions dry, they become hard and can be gently washed off when showering. If the material looks like caked or crusted blood, please see your OB GYN MD for an examination of your breasts.
