Methotrexate : Methotrexate is not a pain killer, it has anti inflammatory actions which are perceived as reduction in pain . Usually it takes few weeks to few months for the affect of methotrexate to be seen . Other painkillers like paracetamol, codeine, tramadol etc can be taken along with methotrexate for pain relief .
