Irregular bleeding: It sounds like you are seeing old blood coming out. Old blood will appear black. IF you are concerned about pregnancy or miscarriage then check a home pregnancy test. If you typically have normal periods then it is reasonable to monitor this over the next few cycles. If this has been happening frequently then see a doctor for an evaluation
