Rehab or Surgery: I assume you mean a herniated disc at t8. Treatment usually begins with rehab and physical therapy and then surgery for unresponsive cases or if there are neurologic deficits.

Injections b4 surg: I agree with dr. Eisenberg, but i would add epidural injections prior to any surgical procedure.
