Dyspareunia: Pain during sex. May be a variety of causes but I wonder about things like vaginismus and retroverted uterus/cervix being hit during penetration or tampon. Other causes of course. Can all be sorted through with a doctor examination

Pain: You need to have this conversation with your partner and advice him to be gentle. Also lubrication will help as many time people have sex when there is not enough lubrication , which will be painful.

See doctor : These could be due to infection, endometriosis, uterus being retroverted . Examination would give definite diagnosis.

Many possibilities : Possibilities range from the membrane (hymen) in the high part of the vagina not allowing penetration through to psychological causes making the walls of the vagina close. If you have not seen your doctor (or sexual health clinic if you would rather) then you should. Sex should not be painful and you really need to see a doctor soon about this please.

Possible endo: Painful sex is never normal and there can be several explanations, one of which is called endometriosis where deposits of tissue/scarring occur in the pelvis; another is pelvic inflammatory disease. There could also be structural issues causing pain. Either way, see a trusted G.P. for a formal assessment and you may need to get referred to a gynaecologist. You'll need swabs and an internal exam.
